I began teaching in 1991 as a high school Chemistry teacher in Athens, TX, the “brick and mortar” style, as they say. After two years, I realized I wanted to know more about chemistry, so I applied to the graduate Chemistry program at The Pennsylvania State University. I taught there as a lab instructor and then as a research assistant while working on my Ph.D. in chemistry in the Thomas E. Mallouk nanomaterials laboratory. Then I was off to DuPont as a Senior Research Chemist in the Lycra® spandex division.

However, in 2003 I started to wonder about bigger questions and began my journey into the Catholic Church. I decided to stay home and raise children, being open to life, and along the way I gained experience as a home school mom, teaching my own kids and online classes for Kolbe Academy from 2014 – 2018.
